About the Project

Statement of the Problem

This application automates the human resource procurement procedure. It mainly aims at computerizing the recruitment process. This computerized application automates operations of job search and job posting online.

The company can post a job, as well as the candidate can apply for it. This application makes the recruitment process more efficient. This application provides global service, so that anybody around the world can access the information. The candidate any where in the world can get to know about the job openings, this provides online information on job posting and job searching. This application helps the company helps to place qualified and eligible candidates.

The company can put their advertisement in this site, so that they improve their site and viewers will get more information about the vacancies of the company.

Existing System

The existing system is not flexible as all the procedures with respect to both the candidate and the recruiter is done manually. This increases the paper work of the company which includes the application by the candidate for the job; the resumes submitted etc. The advertisement work of the consultancy is better noticed online rather than banners or any other mode.

Proposed System

The proposed system eases the work of the HR recruiter and also provides utmost support to the candidate applying for the job. The candidate any where in the world can get know about the requirements. This also helps to know the candidates who were short-listed by the company. This helps the company to place qualified and eligible candidates.

The advertisement can put up online by the company and the resumes could be sending to the company simultaneously.

The company can put their advertisement in this site so that it helps to improve their sales and more people will come to know about their company.

This helps the HR to select the candidate as per the requirement available online. At a time, a numerous amount of candidates can apply for the job. There is global access to the site and therefore it as advantageous to both the recruiter and the candidate applying for the job. The proposed system is thus,

Defining the Problem

The problems with current system are Updating and Retrieval of Information is slow and Time consuming process.

Developing Solution Strategies

This software automates recruitment process and provides online service. This software helps the client to post qualified and eligible candidate with in the time limit. Once the candidate registers their resume, they are relieved from the burden of job hunting and their jobs directly come over to their door steps. Through this software the company can post their requirements and it will help to reduce their time in searching the qualified candidate. The application provides high security and authentication through valid user id and password. The system customizes the option of the business application based on the user type. The system provides index services through search option which retrieves information based on user needs. The system is automated to provide online selection, short listing and employing candidates’ process with efficiency and accuracy.

Module Description

The WEB BASED RECRUITMENT SYSTEM consists of two modules. Those are

ADMIN Module

USER Module

ADMIN Module:-

The Administrator interacts with this module. He/she can do the following functionalities.

Ø  NOTIFICATIONS:-

Administrator can place the notifications as per their requirements. He/she can set age limit, qualification eligibility, and other criterion.

Ø  SCHEDULE:-

Administrator can schedule the Recruitment process i.e., dates (starting and ending) of notification available online for registration, admit cards for written test, Call Letters for Personal Interview, and Medical Test available online, and Results.

Ø  ADMIT CARDS:-

Administrator can issue User Ids and Passwords to applicants through e-mail who registered for a notification, and Admit Cards for written test. An applicant gets his/her Admit Card after successful login.

Ø  WRITTEN TEST RESULTS:-

Administrator places the written test results of applicants who are qualified in written test. Qualified applicants are posted to Interview.

Ø  INTERVIEW CALL LETTERS:-

Administrator issues the call letters for interview to who are qualified in written test. He/she provides information regarding Interview such as where the Interview takes place, time and date of Interview.

Ø  INTERVIEW RESULTS:-

Administrator places the Interview results of applicants who are qualified in Personal Interview. Qualified applicants are posted to Medical Test.

Ø  MEDICAL TEST CALL LETTERS:-

Administrator issues the call letters for Medical Test to who are qualified in Personal Interview. He/she provides information regarding Medical Test such as where the Medical Test takes place, time and date of Medical Test, medical requirements.

Ø  MEDICAL TEST RESULTS:-

Administrator places the Medical Test results of applicants who are qualified in Medical Test. Qualified applicants will get appointment letters.

Ø  END OF NOTIFICATION:-

Administrator ends the notification after completion of whole recruitment process or in the middle of the process as per need.

USER Module:-

An applicant, who applies for the jobs in VISAKHAPATNAM STEEL PLANT, interacts with this module. He/she can do the following functionalities.

Ø  NOTIFICATIONS:-

Applicant can view the notifications posted by the Administrator. He/she can get the notification, and can apply for the job. To apply for the job, he/she has to register online. After successful registration he/she will get User Id, and Password through e-mail to which is specified in the registration form. So that applicant can login for further procedure process of recruitment.

Ø  ADMIT CARDS:-

Applicant can get Admit Card for Written test by login using User Id, and Password.

Ø  INTERVIEW CALL LETTERS:-

Applicant can get Call Letter for Interview by login using User Id, and Password. Only applicants who are passed in Written Test can get Interview Call Letters.

Ø  MEDICAL TEST CALL LETTERS:-

Applicant can get Call Letter for Medical Test by login using User Id, and Password. Only applicants who are passed in Interview can get Interview Call Letters.

Ø  RESULTS:-

Applicant can view their Written Test Results, Interview results, and Medical Test Results posted by administrator.

Ø  SCHEDULE:-

Applicant can view the schedule of the recruitment i.e., dates (starting and ending) of notification available online for registration, admit cards for written test, Call Letters for Personal Interview, and Medical Test available online, and Results scheduled by administrator.
